L' Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Review

Hi beautiful flowers!

Today I'm reviewing the L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga mascara. I picked this up a couple of weeks ago on a random trip to Target not even looking for makeup. But I saw it. Got excited (the packaging is adorable!). And I bought it. Yay me!

Totally loving the pink and black packaging!!

The wand is interesting, and unlike most I've used. It's spiky and tapers yet is still skinny overall.  The formula is super thick, which makes sense considering it's marketed as a thickening kinda clumping type mascara.

Above is my naked eye, okay so I put concealer on my lid and undereye. Besides that, I used my eyelash curler and squeezed a few times to maximize and hold my curl.

And these are my lashes after two coats of the Miss Manga. As you can see, it seriously thickens and gives a very good amount of length.

I've been using this mascara since I got it and waited until now to do this review because I really wanted to use it and truly put it to the test.  As stated above, it really thickens my lashes, but it can also super clump them. It also flakes a little bit on me as I finish applying it and a little throughout the day, but nothing too bad. The only thing that bothers me is when my top and bottom lashes are coated, they feel sticky...? I know, it sounds weird, but it does feel sticky and my eyes tend to water a bit. So I end up fidgeting and blinking a lot.

Overall though, I like this mascara. I like the kinda clumpy look. I just use a different mascara for the bottom. Happy mascara-ing!!

Kat Von D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and Review

Yay for my first review!! And first real post for my blog, woohoo!

This palette is a beauty! I had my eyes on this palette since it first came out, and to be honest I purchased it right away. It sat in my drawer for a bit of time, I resisted the urge to play with it because I knew I wanted to take the time to take pictures, swatch and truly test it. It was worth the wait. I love it. The colors are absolutely stunning!

The packaging is gorgeous too! It comes in a sleek and sturdy cardboard box with a magnetic strip to keep it closed. The beautiful artwork on the packaging, and box it comes in, is an original piece by Kat.

It opens up to 12 insanely pigmented eyeshadows and pretty big mirror. The palette is literally representing its name with the colors of the monarch butterfly. Orange, black, brown, gold, and cream are all represented.

(l-r) entomology, telepathy, tiny death, wrath, papilio, summerfly, killing jar, delany, vanish, disintegration, shadowbox, deadhead

My favorite colors are wrath, telepathy, disintegration, summerfly and papilio!

Here are some pictures of my favorite look. I tend to gravitate towards softer looks, but you can easily achieve something much more dramatic with no difficulty at all.

So, I highly recommend this palette! It's amazing! The colors are rich, creamy, super pigmented, gorgeous, and they blend out like a dream.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Love and blessings,
